Tulip Loves Rex
by Alyssa Satin Capucilli & Sarah Massini
Tulip is a young child that knew how to spin before she reached the other milestones of babyhood. Spinning grew into twirling as she became older. Tulip made a wish every night before going to sleep. Her wish was always the same.
"The dog wore a sign around his neck. 'My name is Rex. I'm not quite like other dogs.'"
Young readers between the ages of 4 and 8 will love how the mystery of Rex and Tulip's dream unfolds.
Illustrator Sarah Massani does a nice job of conveying motion and emotion throughout the story. She and author Alyssa Satin Capucilli are a good team, just like Tulip and Rex. This is a book I would have enjoyed reading to my children when they were young.
