Love is Real
by Janet Lawler, illustrated by Anna Brown
"Love is in the little things that fill my heart until it sings."
How true. Author Janet Lawler uses poetry to do a nice job of showing little ones between the ages of 4 and 8 how love is actually everywhere in their world.
Real shares children that the kind acts that people do for them are acts of love, another layer of love. Love is Real will also remind parents in the many, many ways they love their children.
While I appreciate the message in Love is Real, I wasn't wild about the illustrations. And this fact would keep me from purchasing the book to read to my kids.
